Hi,
I wonder if it is possible that I can have separated color list for symbol edge and fill for the scatter plot. Right now I can only have a single color list for both, and sometimes it is confusing. This is a feature I look for quite a long time.
Thanks! |

It has been awhile since this post, however I wanted to let you know that we have added your request for adding a separate color list for symbol edge and fill color for a scatter plot. This is now available in the New Origin 2019.
Jira Ticket: https://originlab.jira.com/browse/ORG-16241?jql=project%20%3D%20ORG%20AND%20resolution%20%3D%20Fixed%20AND%20fixVersion%20%3D%20%229.6%22%20AND%20status%20%3D%20Closed%20AND%20Reporter%20%3D%20aviel

Thanks for your reply!
What I want is two independent color lists, so one applies to edge color, and one to fill color.
Right now, I figured out that I can change the "Increament" to make the color platelet of edge different from fill (so for example, edge can start from "blue" while file starts from "red", but it would be great if I can have two independent tab for color list.
Thanks!

Posted - 04/05/2017 : 11:42:45 AM Hi,
To make the edge color different from the fill color:
In plot details select symbol:
-Select custom construction -Select Interior Open (This will change the settings to allow you to edit fill color and edge color)
I am not exactly sure if you are asking to make the edge color different from the fill color as stated above, or if you are trying to make each scatter point a different color?
If you want to make each scatter point a different color there are a variety of ways to do this:
Are you trying to indicate each point a color correlated with a column of data? Or are you trying to indicate a specific color for a specific data point i.e. every other data point should be filled in red?
Thanks,
