Origin Ver.2015 and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: Windows 7
I am new to OriginLab and I am trying to save a formula inside a sheet template on a specific column so that when multiple data files are loaded with that template that formula automatically applies but I am not having any luck.
I am putting in the formula, in this case I want the absolute value of the integers in the column, I have used both functions of inserting the equation such as just typing it in the f(x) row as well as setting the column values. When I go to save the template and reload with new data files the equations shows up in the right spot in the f(x) line but the action of making the column absolute values didn't happen. Any ideas of what is going on and what I am missing?

Hello,
To create a sheet template and create automation (Batch Processing), you will need to create a second column in the workbook to do the analysis. The second column can be in the same worksheet or in a different worksheet. The green locked button present at the top of the column is where the automation will occur. The first column will be setup with your original values and the second column will be setup for the analysis (in this case the absolute value equation). Make sure to save the workbook as template analysis and use it for batch processing. Note: make sure the recalculate parameters are set to auto.
