I have four columns data: X, Y-average, Y-minimum, Y-maximum I just want to draw it similar to a "Y error" type graph. In "Y-error" case, the Y value is located in the center of its error range. But now my Y-average is not just equal to (Y-min + Y-max)/2.
I almost tried "High-low-close" type, but it just draws a line from high point to low point, then draw a small bar at the close point. Just like:
| (high) |- (close) | | | (low)
But I hope Origin can help me to plot like: ___ (max) | * (average) | | | --- (min)
Are there any plot types in Origin can do so?

If you look at the Type group on the Percentile tab, you'll see that each statistic -- Max, 99%, Mean, etc. -- has a downward pointing arrow next to it.
1. Click the down arrow. This opens the Symbol Gallery. 2. Choose an open (empty) cell in the Gallery (this will probably be the last cell in the grid).
This should remove this particular statistic from the plot.
Let us know if you are still having problems.

Mr. Mike Genthner, I am trying to use you method to analyize data. But I can not do it as good as you. The problem is I can not find any method or option to hide the tick of 1% and 99% position. In Pencentile Tab, I can choose Size as 0 but that will also hide the mean value symbol. Could you please tell me how to set it?

When I saw your post, my first thought was of Origin's Box Chart. This chart type is created by selecting one or more columns of raw data and clicking the Box Chart button (2D Graphs Extended toolbar). Origin calculates various stats for each data set (column) -- Ymax, Ymin, Mean, Median, etc. -- and plots those (again, by data set). You can then customize the Box Chart to hide the box (Box Width = 0) and show only the Max, Min, and Mean Values (for which you can choose symbol types -- see image).
However, in your case, you had already done the calculations to arrive at Ymax, Ymin, and Mean. So, given your data -- and the way that you had arranged the data in the worksheet -- Mike Buess' solution is a good one. I took a somewhat different approach -- one that involved plotting a floating column chart using your max and min values, set column spacing to 100%, then overlaid a scatter plot of average values in a second layer that was linked to the first layer. But I like his solution better; it's cleaner, requires few steps, and puts a horizontal bar at the high and low values (which my workaround didn't).
Anyway, if in the future you have raw data sets for which you have not already calculated your max, min, and mean -- keep the Box Chart in mind.

This will create one set of (positive) error bars from Y-average to Y-maximum and another set of (negative) error bars form Y-average to Y-minimum...
1. Create two columns, Emax and Emin. 2. Set Column Values for Emax to col(Y-maximum)-col(Y-average). (Use the actual column names of course.) Set Column Values for Emin to col(Y-average)-col(Y-minimum). 3. Set the column types for Emax and Emin to Y Error. 4. Select the Y-average, Emax and Emin columns and Plot->Scatter. 5. Select Format->Plot. Emax error bars: remove the check in front of the Minus Direction option. Emin error bars: remove the check in front of the Plus Direction option.
