Hi. I want to fit a curve, (for example linear fit). After I get the fitted line, if I want to have the error of the fitted parameters (for example error of the slope, error for the intersect...) What shall I do?
Thanks a lot.

Hi Ek,

I think all of Origin's fitting procedures output the error on the parameter estimates. These are generally typed out to the Results Log (which will open automatically when you do the fit, if it is not already open).

Note that we recently corrected a documentation error: assuming that you do not have error estimates that you are using to weight the fit, the error on the fit parameters is calculated as SQRT(covii*(Chi^2/DOF)), where covii is the diagonal element of the variance-covariance matrix (this is covered in Origin Help file topics Controlling the Fitting Procedure and The Fitting Session Concept).
