Posted - 09/13/2004 : 2:23:25 PM I would like to run Matlab6.1 with it's desktop, and Origin7.5. Then I can transfer data from Matlab to Origin for plotting. However, Origin only allows me to open a Matlab command window which I cant seem to dock into the Matlab Desktop. A Matlab command window is not nearly as useful as a Matlab Desktop. Has anyone figured out how to integrate these two? |

Posted - 09/13/2004 : 3:01:11 PM Hello,
1> Start MATLAB from Origin, using the Origin menu command Tools->MATLAB Console 2> You will see the MATLAB command window in mimized form on the task bar. Open this command window and issue the MATLAB command: desktop and hit Enter.
This will launch the MATLAB desktop, which has its own command window. At this point, you can minimize both the Origin MATLAB Console tool and the first MATLAB command window that was launched, and continue using the MATLAB desktop. Note that if you terminate either the Origin MATLAB console window or the first MATLAB command window, the MATLAB session will be terminated.
