I have a matrix in which every column represents a dataset for a specific date with 3 hours intervals. I would like to make a contour plot with date tick labels. I can set the matrix dimensions to the numerical value of the date format (e.g. 2451042, but then annoyingly, Origin sets this value to 2.45104e6, rounding to the 5th digit. This means that the ticks in the graph are finally a few days off. Does anyone know a way to avoid this problem?
Thanks, Martin |

One or both of these Options settings might help. (Tools->Options, Numeric Format tab)
1. Under Convert to Scientific Notation, increase the Upper Threshold Power to 7 or 8.
2. Increase the Number of Decimal digits to 7 or 8.
...You might also be able to fix it with Matrix->Set Properties.
