hi,i have some question of the "box chart",i hope you can help me with this question.
in the graph of "box chart",what does "the box is determined by the 25th and 75th percentiles. The whiskers are determined by the 5th and 95th percentiles

Hi piqingyan,

If you were to sort your column of values from the smallest to the largest value and divide those values exactly in half, the middle value would be the median. If you were to divide the "bottom half" of values -- those <= the median value -- exactly in half, the middle value would represent the 25th percentile. Dividing the "top half" of your values -- those values >= the median value -- exactly in half would produce the 75th percentile. So, this just means that the bottom of the box chart "box" is drawn at the 25th percentile and the top of the box chart "box" is drawn at the 75th percentile.

Likewise, the whiskers are drawn (by default -- this can be changed) at those data values which represent the 5th and 95th percentiles.
