Origin Version (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: 7.5

I have constructed some data from another source which is already assembled into log bins with frequency counts. Is there a way to get Origin to recognise this so that I can test it form normal distribution? I am trying to analyse the first and second moments of its distribution.

Thanks

Hi,

Once you plot the data in Origin, you could fit it with the Nonlinear Curve Fitting (NLSF) Tool - under the Origin Basic Functions group, there is a LogNomral function. The fit will then return parameters such as peak centroid, width etc.
