 Hi all,
I have to collect more than 100 ASCII files in separate worksheets for simultaneous comparison of the data. A single saved worksheet has a size of roughly 700 kB. The whole Origin project has a size of 75 MB but the saving time increases dramatically up to 50 minutes. Is there a way to reduce the saving time to a practicable timeframe? Who can help me?

One possibility may be that if you can save your data
as (or directly import into) a matrix in the format of
 e.g., Float/Integer(4) or Short Integer(2), the total
file size would be a half or one fourth of the original.

A relatively simple script will make the management
 easier.
