I would like to add an image / logo to the background (eg bottom right corner) of a worksheet.

Origin also has File : Import : Import Image as an option for Graph windows.
Programmatically, this can be accomplished with:
getfile *.png;
image.filename$=%B%A;
run.section(imgfile,LoadImageIntoGrObject);
