Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.5.1 SR2
Operating System: Windows 7 x64 Professional SP1

Good day to you,

while customizing my Waterfall graph, when I check the "In Plane Z Axis Title" option on Plot Details->Layer Properties->Waterfall tab, my axis title and scale disappears. Whatever font type/size/style/color I choose, it still appears blank on the screen.
When I uncheck it, title and scale reappear with all font properties I selected, but they are not in plane, which does not work for me.

About a week ago I made another couple of Waterfall graphs and had absolutely no issues with it, so I thought the problem might be in some error in the .opj file itself.
Therefore I deleted it and made a new project file from scratch, imported all raw data etc. Unfortunately, that didn't solve the problem at all.

Has anyone the idea what the heck is going on???

Hi, Ferdish

Actually, we have not sold Origin 8.5.1 since 2011, so it is hard for us to imagine what happened in such an old version.

You can try cleanly reinstall your Origin, that is, uninstall your Origin in reinstall it in an empty folder, and use an empty folder in your local computer as User Files folder. Hope that helps.

Anyway, if it does not work, I can only recommend you try Origin 2018.

Well, I expected more constructive solution than "upgrade to new version", to be honest...you think that I wouldn't purchase it if I (or my employee, to be exact) had enough funds to cover the license?

Is there any other available solution? Re-install, maybe?

Hi,

Origin 8.5 is a very old version. Our latest version is Origin 2018. If you are interested, you can download a free demo here:
