Origin Ver. and Service Release: Origin Pro 2017 (64bit) SR2.
Operating System: Windows 7

Every time when I perform any manipulations in the Plot Setup menu and then exit it without ticking the "rescale" box, the plot nevertheless rescales, forcing me adjust the scale again and again each time after I open the Plot Setup menu. This glitch appeared in Origin 2017, before that I did not have this glitch in previous Origin versions.

Could you please fix this glitch?

Hi vlnew,

Which plot menu did you click?

I tried some plot menus like line/scatter/column/bar, none of them will do rescale if I uncheck "Rescale" checkbox on Plot Setup dialog in O2017sr2.

Hi,

You can save the axis format as the default theme so that axis rescale is automatically set to Fixed for every time you create a graph.

Note: After applying the format theme (Follow instructions below), there is a bug when trying to plot a column/bar plot. This bug should be fixed in the next build release. I apologize for the inconvenience.

If you mainly plot line/scatter plots than this should be useful.

1. Create a graph
2. Set axis rescale to fixed.
3. Select apply and close axis scale dialog.
4. Right Click the Axis on the graph and select Save Format As Theme...

5. Within the Save Format As Theme dialog - Remove all Property options except for Rescale which should be set as Fixed.
6. Input a name for the Name of the new theme:
7. Select Set as System Theme and Select Ok.

8. Create a graph, the axis rescale tab should be set to Fixed.

Thank you, this method works, but it is very annoying to do this for each plot. Is it possible to change this behaviour as default for all projects? After all, why is there the "rescale" tickbox in the Plot Setup menu? This tickbox simply does not work, it is a glitch.
