I'm using NLcurve fit function to fit data points with standard error. Could somebody please explain me what type of weighting (Instrumental, statistical, etc) corresponds to standard error.
Thanks! |

Posted - 02/05/2018 : 9:41:01 PM Hi,
You could use Instrumental weighting method. We have a tutorial that you can refer to: https://www.originlab.com/doc/Tutorials/Nonlinear-fitting-using-orthogonal-regression

This page is exactly what I'm asking about. There is a table on the link for different ways to account for error. However, it is not mentioned anywhere what option to choose if I have standard error column. I'm confused whether I should choose statistical, instrumental etc.? |
