Hello, quick question about the Heat Map ability. So say I have a 41x41 Matrix and I make a heat map of it. I would now like to draw a line along any axis/direction and would like to get an intensity plot for that line and only that line. In my case I have a heatmap from a Cu grid and would like to determine the lattice constants this way.

I can get the heatmap to work well, but this last part about drawing a line and getting a normal line graph from it is something that eludes me. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks to both your swift responses! You guys solved my problem.

Hi metroid02,
Aviel's way should works. Also, you may easily try the following:
1) Create a regular Heatmap from your matrix, and copy the graph's format.
2) Create a Contour Profile, and apply the format (all).

Does it work? If it worked, could you show me how it looks like, if you don't mind. I would
like to see just for my curiosity.

Hi,

Please try the plotting with Contour Profile.

Select Plot -> Select Profile -> Select Contour Profiles

With the graph plotted you can add, move, and delete profile lines in the horizontal and vertical direction.

Thanks
Aviel
