Operating System: Windows XP
I have two plots in one graph. I need to zoom couple of regions. How can i do it? I tried to use the Zoom.otp but it can only zoom one graph and only one region.

Hi mike
Thank you very much for your time.
This is what I did. I plot my two layer plot
then I "Add Insert graphs" This will come up in the top left corner.
Then I move it from there. Then I change scale to show my region of interest. Changed the color of the axis.
Again I "Add Insert graphs" This will come up in the top left corner.

Then I manually drew two boxes on my fist plot where i want to zoom and
the color of the box changed accordingly. See the attach

Hi cnalaka,
If I understand your problem correctly, one solution would be to use the Layer Tool to add two inset graphs to the plot (as you correctly surmised, this would entail adding two layers to the graph): One inset layer would contain one plot and the other inset layer would contain the other plot. To narrow the scale values -- in essence to "zoom" in on a portion of each plot -- you would use the Axis dialog box controls for each inset layer (activate a layer by selecting the corresponding layer icon and choose Format:Axis). Choose the Scale tab and manipulate the From and To values).
Then you could dress up the graph a bit by drawing a rectangle around the area of interest in the "main" graph, and by manipulating each rectangle object's Dimensions(select the rectangle, right-click and choose Properties> Dimensions tab), you could get the area to correspond precisely with the scales of the two inset graphs.

I tried it didn't work. The method Mike linked was good but I like to have these graphs on the same graph and also would like to have couple of enlargements.

Hi, try this:
Assuming you have two layers, right-click on layer '2' icon and select "Layer properties". In the dialog, go to "Link Axes Scales" tab, and choose to "link to layer 1", and "Straight (1 to 1)" for both X and Y Axes link.
After this, you will find two layers are linked together when one of them is enlarged. |

Yes the first method in that link works fine. But I need to expand few regions in the grap and show them all in one graph. So for this cass I need to add them as layers. The "Plot:Special Line/Symbol:Zoom" can't make more than one zoom area. How can i do this?
