I have calculated the mean and standard deviation of a series of experiments and used those columns (Mean(Y) and SD1(yEr+-))as input for a scatter plot. Until recently I was able to change the values of the experimental data and re-calculate the mean and SD without trouble. Now, whenever I do that, the column tag (for instance A(X), B(Y)...) changes from Mean(Y) to F1(Y). This causes the series to vanish from the plot where it was displayed. How do I recalculate the mean/SD without changing the "short name" of the series?

Thanks & best regards,

Leonardo Meireles

Hi Leonardo,

Could you please post a picture of your worksheet and plot or send your project file to tech@originlab.com. It is difficult for me to visualize your problem.

Thanks,
Aviel
