Posted - 03/02/2018 : 2:51:02 PM Hi,
Please try using the Color Mapped Graph: https://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/Color-Mapped-Graph
You can also make the same graph by selecting your X,Y coordinate columns which should be col(A) and coL(B). Select Plot-> Scatter -> Scatter
Double Click the mew graph which will open the plot details dialog. Select the tab under Layer1 in the Left Panel. Select Symbol tab. For Symbol Color Select -> By Points -> Select Map: Col(C) or column that is filled with the amplitude data. Select Apply.
Hope this is what you are looking for. Also in regards to sending the file. If the file is larger than 2000 kb then you need compress the file and zip it before sending it. -Aviel |

Posted - 03/02/2018 : 08:42:12 AM It is in form of xyz columns where z column is amplitude. Actually, what I need is to present all the counts at the same xy position as a single point with a different color that will be dependent on the number of counts (amplitude) at that xy coordinate. BTW, the mail that I sent to you with file not be delivered to mail you gave, for some reason... Thank you A. |

Posted - 03/01/2018 : 3:04:56 PM Hi,
You can create a 2D Contour plot in Origin 9. Is your data setup as a matrix or in xyz columns? However by looking at the attached image, it seems to be more achievable to plot with a 2D Scatter plot where the scatter points are mapped to a value.
If you would like you can send your project file to tech@originlab.com so that I can test creating the graph.
