Thanks Mike and others for responding to my queries.

I have just started using Origin and this is an operating question.

WHen I have to plot say 10 figures in origin, I bring all their data in the same origin worksheet. I go to layer contents - plot associations and select what column should be X and what should be Y. I use edit range to set the range of rows for each layer.

One problem I am repeatedly facing is that, after I have made the plots, the ranges of many plots changes automatically from what I specified to say 1-225. This is giving very undesirable results and its frustrating to go and the correct the range for each plot.

Could someone tell me better ways of preserving my plots in origin?

thanks
manish

Hi Manish:

I tried recreating your problem using the primary steps that you describe, but was not successful; everything worked as I expected and I saw no resetting of the plotted range.

Would it be possible to have you send us a project (OPJ file) which demonstrates the problem and give us a detailed, step-by-step explanation of what you are doing? This would really help.

You can send it to tech@originlab.com. Please refer to this forum thread in your e-mail.

Thanks,
Mike
