Hello,
can you give the correct syntax for the system variables to save as opj-file as default. We work with very different origin version and some people forget to change it to opj.

thanks

Hi Poffel1985,

In the coming Origin 2018b, you can set the system variable @OPJ to 3 (from "Tools> System Variables" menu, set OPJ without @)
to save the Origin project always with the extension .OPJ instead of .OPJU as described at:
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/reopen-Origin-by-graph-

But keep in mind that using .OPJ format, you cannot take advantages of .OPJU such as Unicode data,
preview images, file size reduction, etc. Also, it is generally NOT recommended to update the
project file created by a newer version, by an older version of Origin. See the details here:
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/View-OPJ-in-OldVer

Also, you may consider to use the latest version of Origin Viewer which can convert .OPJU file to .OPJ file:
