Hi all,
i have a probleme with Origin 6.0. My file is big about 23M, and the was no problem util today when i tried to open it, i couldn't and it showed a message saying that this file is damaged with error 258. It seems to be lost all my data in this file, please can you help me to fix this problem, it is extremely important for me.

Hi sfe10:

The first thing I would do is to check to see whether there is a file named BACKUP.OPJ in the Origin program folder. If so, open it and see if it contains a backup copy of your OPJ (this option is enabled via the Options dialog box -- Tools: Options > Open/Close > Backup Project Before Saving.

If this doesn't help, you may be able to recover some data (graphs are likely lost) by following the instructions in this kbase item.

In the future, I would avoid accumulating too much in a single OPJ file. This seems to invite file corruption.
