I was wondering how to put actual numbers and not the "ln" of the bins when plotting Log-Normal distribution. My Y-axis is typically the "fraction of grains" and X axis is ln EQAD [ ln(Equivalent Area Diameter)]. I don't want the numbers on the X-axis to appear as ln values, but I want them as actual grain sizes, which are only EQAD and not ln EQAD.

Can anyone help me out !

I will highly appreciate your help in this regard,

Sujoy

Hi Sujoy:

It sounds like what you want is to use either the Text from Dataset or Tick Indexed Dataset methods (probably "Tick Indexed Dataset") of assigning tick labels. This is done through the Axis dialog box (double-click on the X axis and choose the Tick Labels tab). Set Type to Tick-indexed Dataset and select the dataset that contains your preferred tick labels from the Dataset drop down list.

This is explained on pages 350 - 352 in your Origin 6 User's Manual or you can open the Axis dialog and press "F1" to get online Help.
