Posted - 10/03/2005 : 11:52:28 PM Hey, I am trying to visualize data of a sloped soil. Is it possible to inclinate the x-axis and let the data be still shown vertically (then not orthognally to the x-Axis)?
Hope somebody can help me on this point, thanks |

Origin currently does not support the rotation of axes of the graph. One possible (crude) work-around is using the XY-plane in 3D plotting (scatter or line+symbol) like the following:
To make this, you can: 1) Add a Z column to your X and Y columns, then give 0s to the cells. 2) Plot this Z data as 3D Scatter or 3D Trajectory. 3) Remove Z axis and XZ- and YZ-planes. 4) Tilt the axes to make the view point from above XY-plane, and rotate the angles you like. (If you want to skew the coordinates, you may slant the view like below:)
