Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 2018 64-bit
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit

Hello guys,
I'm using Origin to compare multiple curves (20+) in one graph. Currently I know, how to import multiple files into Origin database (and named column's comment according file name), using template to normalize each of them and put them together into graph. Problem is with legend, that is the same for each curve according to comment in column "Normalize to [0,1] of B" (function "Normalize" fill this). I tried to find some way how to rename comments in column with function (automaticaly for every file) or to change source name in the legend to another column where I have right name, but I wasn't succesful.
I hope, that there is any easy solution of my problem.
Thank you for the response.
Daniel Göty

Hello,

Yes, it's doable. Right click legend and choose Legend-> Update Legend... context menu. Set it as follows.

Some other suggestions:
When you import multiple data into multiple books/sheets into Origin, by default, the file name is put to worksheet name.
So actually if you plot the normalized data from different sheets, in the Update Legend dialog, u can just use @WS in "Legend Custom Format" box to show sheet name as legend name.

Thanks, Snow

Hi Goty,

If you want to make the legend more meaningful, you can right click legend and choose Legend -> Updated Legend...
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/Customize-Legend with animation gif

Or right click legend box and select Plot Details context menu to open this dialog see
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/PD-Dialog-LegendTitles-Tab

In the Lengend/Titles tab, set Translation Mode to Custom and then enter or select desired format in the Legend Custom Format box. As I don't know the structure of your data in Origin workbook, I can't recommend which one is good for you.
If you met any problem on this control, please feel free to let me know. We can always be reached to via:tech@originlab.com

Thanks,
Shirley
