Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): b9.4.2.380
Operating System: Windows 7 Pro

Hallo Origin-Team,

every time I import data into a new workbook or add a new one, it is created with 28590 lines. However my date consist of below 500 lines. Is is very inconvenient to work with such a lot number of empty lines while scrolling through the data. How can I reduce default length of a workbook, let say, down to 1000?

You must have saved the workbook as template with that many rows.
Go to your user file folder and see if there is an Origin.otw and just delete that file.
