Origin Ver. 2016 and Service Release Sr2(Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System:Windows

Hi,for some unknown reason the nonlinear fit does not work more. Also for very simple data set it is not more possible to find a fitting and if I force some fitting message error about initiating parameters appears: note that I never changed default setting. I tried also to repair installation, but the problem remains. Do you have some suggestion? Thank you in advance..

Hi,

1. Did the Nonlinear Fit tool work fine before this?

2. Does this problem happen in the specific project or any Origin project?
Could you try to new a project and follow "Use a built-in function to fit the data" sample in this tutorial page
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Tutorials/Fitting-NLFit-Basic

3. If it shows Error Message, could you please upload screenshot of it?

4. Could you try cleanly reinstalling your Origin?
Uninstall your Origin. And then reinstall Origin 2016 in an empty folder and use a new folder as User File folder.

Thanks
Jacqueline
