Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): b9.4.2.380
Operating System: Windows 7 Pro

Dear Origin Team,
I am working with a lot of contour plots and therefore have a number of matrices in one file. Sometime I save a folder with matrices in order to use it as a template or for importing into another file. The problem, that exported file sometimes is huge. It seems that origin deletes only names of matrices from project explorer, but not from the file. Here is one example, file with few matrices in project explorer looks like this:

however in windows it's size is over 200 MB!

How should I extract/save folder in order to keep it small?

Dear James, thank you for fast answer. The right solution is number 2. After removing of the log the size decreased down to 3.8 mb, as it should.

2. Large results log

Hi,

There might be couple of likely reasons. Please first check these FAQ pages for a solution:
1. Dangling Operator
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/OPJ-so-large-and-take-full-cpu
2. Large results log
http://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/ProjectFile-Very-Slow
3. A lot of loose datasets

If none of above solves your issue, please share with us your project file to check further. Thank you.

James
