Hi guys,

I am somwhat an origin noob. Only know the basics. And now I stumbled voer a new problem (and I guess there is a really simple solution for this):

I have 2 Workbooks A and B. Those have 2 Worksheets - sheet1 and sheet2

What I want to do is to calculate in Workbook B: WorkbookA,sheet1,colA - workbookB,sheet1,colA
I just don't know how to put that into the formula wizard. I tried everything so far: [B]sheet1!colA....nothing works. I can't imagine that this would not work in origin right? I just need the right reference. Can you help me please?

Thanks

Hi Torracc,

You can use our Set Column Values dialog. First, you can define the range for "WorkbookA-sheet1-colA" and "workbookB-sheet1-colA", and then just subtract one range from another one range as below to get the results in another column.

About how to define ranges in Origin, please refer to this page,
