Hello,

I was trying to plot an inverse function from given X and Y values. I dont have a function term, I only have about 30 X and Y values and I need to plot the inverse function and I need the inverted X and Y values for finding an intersection point later.

I hope somebody can help me here. Thanks

Looks good. Thanks. But now I have to change the axis back again but leave my graph right where it is to get my new function with new values. Any idea how this could work?

Thank you

Hi,

Can you simply exchange xy axis? if your initial curve is y = f(x), After switching x,y axis, you get curve of y = inverse_f(x). The exchange x,y button is on the right side tool bar, the fifth one from the top.

Thank you,
James

Well I do have the X and Y values from my original graph, but as I already said I want to inverte this graph. (Like ln(x) is the inverse function from e^x)

So I need new and inverse Y values for the given values of X.

Sounded like you need to find X from Y given a set of numbers, is that correct?
