I've noticed that OriginPro 2017 renders tick marks and axes differently from previous versions. There's always an annoying corner where the two do not overlap. Previous versions used rounded ends, which avoided this ugly problem...or minimized it to where I never noticed.

Is there some way to bring back the rounded ends?

Thanks, Chris! Everything looks much better now! (To my eyes, anyway.)

Hi,

You can set the @LCA system viable to 0 (zero) to return to using rounded line end caps.

See the description of that variable (and its other values) here: https://www.originlab.com/doc/LabTalk/ref/sys-var-list#L

You can use the System Variables dialog (opened via the Tools menu) to set the variable. See:
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/System-Variable-Dialog

I hope this helps!

Thanks,
Chris Drozdowski
