Origin Ver. and Service Release: 2019b, 9.6.5.169
Operating System: Windows 10 ENT, 64-bit, version 1803, build 17134.590

This version of OriginLab is very slow to open screens and render. Exhaust all available memory (32GB) when performing copy paste of 120,000 rows from Excel to OriginLab worksheet. Causes other apps to close and video driver to unload (results in video changing to windows default 600x400). Performing same action with OriginLab 2019 has no issue. Same issue seen on Dell 7910 tower and Dell Precision 7510 laptop.

Anyone else see such issues?

I am sorry that I cannot reproduce this issue by a fake excel file with 120,000 rows. Could you please send us the excel file you mentioned for further check? You could contact us via tech@originlab.com

I have sent the files to tech support and received a very fast response with a resolution. My project worked in 2019. I made a copy to use with 2019b. In the copied project the worksheet in use ended up with many extra blank columns (I'm sure it was user error). Tech support pointed out that removing the extra blank columns resolved the issue. I have confirmed this and now 2019b performance is equal to 2019. It would be good to know why blank columns would do this, but for now it is good to know that unused blank columns should be removed to improve performance.

NOTE: This issue could be recreated in 2019, so this is not an issue that was introduced with 2019b.

Thank you again for the fast response and resolution.
