Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 2018 (64-bit) SR1
Operating System: Windows 10
Hi all! The curves on my graph appear segmented when I export them to PDF. That might seem obvious, since I use Straight connection type, but I get the same results even if I try using Splines. I am attaching a close-up comparison between what I get with Origin and MATLAB. I do not use any interpolation in MATLAB, it is just the same data plotted and exported with no editing.

I'd like to get the same smooth curves when I export from Origin as I get from MATLAB. I already tried toggling anti-aliasing, and I keep the speed mode off when I export.
Any help is appreciated!

Thank you very much, setting resolution to 6000 actually helps!

The problem is basically solved, but nevertheless I've contacted tech support in case there really is an issue in Origin.

This must be caused by the RESOLUTION setting in Export Settings.

While one can specify a particular resolution to export, there is NO options to force the graph not to be re-sampled. Not even the KEEP SIZE option. IMO the option, SET RESOLUTION, is useful only if the dataset is too large to make the PDF file in small size. You have to set the resolution to a larger number, for example 1200 or 3000 or 6000 to avoid the problem (but you will still see the problem if you zoom in like 6400%).

I tried to parse the exported PDF, and found another problem: while cubic Bezier curves is supported by PDF natively according to the pdf format specification but it is exported as short lines. This downsampling is absolutely wrong.

In short, just increase the export resolution to avoid the problem for now.
