Hi everybody,

I wanted to try the new DoE App but I always get the Error message of not installed R software. I've installed the latest vrsions of Origin and R. When I try to start the R console, I get the same Error message, too. Is there a special trick or further settings necessary to connect both softwares?

Thanks,
KaVo

Hi,
thank you for your answers. The simple reinstallation didn't help, but with the last tip I was able to solve the problem: R was installed without administrator rights and therefore not in the program folder. After reinstalling R with administrator rights in the program folder, Origin can now use R.

Thanks again.

If your operating System is MS Windows and simply reinstalling the Software does not help, you could check If the .../bin/x86 subdirectory where the r.exe resides was added to the "System path" environment variable. See http://yizhexu.com/2017/02/r-path/ I am not the official support, though.

Hi,

We tested R 3.6.0 (64-bit) here but cannot see the problem. Could you please uninstall your R and then install again?

Thanks,
Amanda

Hi Amanda,

thanks for your response. Unfortunately, that couldn't fixed the problem because I've already installed Origin 2019b (Origin 2019b (64-bit), 9.6.5.169). The installed version of R is 3.6.0 (64-bit).

Maybe you have another tip.

Thanks,
KaVo

Hi,

It is a known bug in Origin 2019 and was fixed in Origin 2019b. If you installed Origin 2019, please upgrade to Origin 2019b. You can select Help: About Origin to check the version. If v2019, please download v2019b by logging into your web account and click “Origin Current Version Installer” link on the Welcome page.

Thanks,
Amanda
