Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 2020 SR0
Operating System: Windows 10 64 bit

Good morning,

I just installed the new Origin 2020 on several PCs and run into a possible bug. We use since several Origin versions customized menus for about 40 PCs in our junior lab. We do this by adding a new menu level in origin.ini, not by using "Custom Menu Organizer" which we have disabled.

Up to version 2019b, one can choose the menu level via "Preferences --> Menu", the next picture is captured from Origin 2019b:

In Origin 2020, the "Preferences --> Menu" is always empty:

The original and customized menus itself are working properly, if you set them by the command "Level=" in the file origin.ini.

Best regards,

Manfred

Hi Manfred,

One of our developers pointed out that the previous behavior may be restored by setting the system variable @SCNFM = 1.

I will send you an email with details about how you can automate setting that system variable for multiple installations.

Here is how to set a system variable:

Thanks,

Hi mduds,

Thank you for reporting the issue of Origin2020.

I am afraid it is a bug in 2020 and sorry for the inconvenience.

I have reported it to our development, and we will fix it in the future version.

Thanks
Jacqueline
