I am trying to overlap two heatmaps, where the same fields are filled. I have a large grid with squares, of which some are colored with the corresponding color scheme, where information is present. I have two sets of data that contain information in the same fields and want to display them next to each other. Ideally I would like to split the rectangular field into a triangle so that two differently colored triangles are covering one "square".
I have no problem making two separate heatmaps but I want to combine them in an awesome-looking way. The transparency option is not viable since the colors of both layers become blurred.
It seems that heatmaps are not as fleshed out as other parts in origin. Is this possible with origin or do I have to look elsewhere? |

Hi,
You will need to set tick positions to specified values. In the axis properties dialog, change to Scale tab, set Major Ticks Type to By Custom Positions and enter the value of the axis position to show tick. Please email us at <tech@originlab.com> if you have more questions. Thank you.

Not quite what I expected, but it could work. Do you know how to align the the axis labels, so they would be in the middle of each pair? |

Hi,
See figure below. Would it be good if you merge two spit heatmap graph together, shift one layer to horizontally so that each square can show two colors? Thank you.
