Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 2019b (64-bit), 9.6.5.169 (Academic)
Operating System:Windows 10 Enterprise
Recently I have the trouble to double-click open opju file (previously it worked well). It starts the Origin but only with an empty view (it shows "No window shown, please open Project Explorer",but opening Project Explorer only shows empty UNTITLED folder). I can open the opju file in such a way: start Origin first, then click File->Open. I don't have administrator right in this PC, so it would be better if your solution doesn't need administrator right. Thank you in advance!

Checking the suggestions again, I noticed that one idea, "hiding" in suggestion 1, is to use 32-bit program. It works after I set the default program to Origin96.exe, instead of Origin96_64.exe.

Sometimes none of those solutions will fix the issue once it is "broken". It's some sort of hard to nail down Windows issue. We've spent years trying to nail it down and only every found that the various solutions in the FAQ work sometimes.

There's just nothing we can really do to fix it once and for all.

Thanks,

Thank you for your message! I noticed that FAQ before, but all the 3 suggestions need "Run as administrator". Unfortunately I don't have the administrator right. I have to wait if there is other ways to solve it or new version of Origin.

Hi,

We have an FAQ on this subject:
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/double-click-open-failed

Perhaps one of the solutions will fix the issue for you.

Thanks,
