Posted - 11/29/2019 : 04:55:51 AM I have been using the Find X/Y function from a Quick Fit gadget. I am putting a large number of values in the X field (separated by semicolons). It works okay when the Output Worksheet is set to the default "FindXY" but I can only use this once. When I change the name to something else then the values are all put in separate worksheets. It shouldn't work this way. Because I am using so many X values, it takes a long time to process and then gives an error saying that there are too many sheets in the folder. I then kill the program and start over. The only solution is to rename the worksheet from the default value to something else afterwards.

Posted - 11/30/2019 : 02:07:22 AM Hi,
I supposed after you clicked “Output” button in the Find X/Y dialog (this created a new worksheet [FindXY]Result), you changed the “Worksheet” edit box to something else, like “[FindXY]Test”. Then you clicked “Output” button again, the new result was put into [FindXY]Test? If so, this is the right behavior. Gadget will put the Find X/Y result to the worksheet you specify in the “Worksheet” edit box. If you want all results in [FindXY]Result, please don’t change the name in “Worksheet” edit box.
If you have many X values, I would suggest using Analysis: Fitting: Nonlinear Curve Fit. It also has a “Find X/Y” option. Different from gadget, it will create a worksheet with recalculate feature. Once the fitting is done, you can go to the “FitNLFindYfromX1” worksheet, and enter X values into the worksheet. The corresponding Y values are auto-recalculated. You can add more X values any time you want.
