I have 20 layers, which will be Z direction.
Every layer is an ASCII file in matrix 15*6 (x, y).
How can I make the data in a matrix x,y,z and then plot it in 3-D

Hi,

Yes, you can import your data into Origin's matrix book. Matrix book can have multiple sheets, and each sheet can have multiple objects. See the introduction about matrix book/sheet/object here,
https://www.originlab.com/videos/details.aspx?id=114
https://www.originlab.com/doc/User-Guide/Matrix-Book-Matrix-Sheet-Matrix-Objects

About how to import the your data, it depends on the structure of your data and the file type of the data. General information about importing, please see https://www.originlab.com/index.aspx?go=PRODUCTS/Origin#Importing

After you import the data, you can plot 3D graph from the matrix book/sheets/objects, such as https://www.originlab.com/doc/Tutorials/Contour-Color-Map

If you still have troubles with importing data or graphing 3D graphs, you can contact us via: tech@originlab.com with your data or project file. Please also tell me the Origin version and serial number of your Origin.

Thanks,
Shirley
