Posted - 05/22/2020 : 5:26:19 PM I have a question that probably has an extremely elementary solution. I have a worksheet connected to a .csv that updates on a daily basis. I would like to have this worksheet automatically transposed when the data is updated so that I can work with the data more easily. How would I go about this? Origin will not allow me to simply transpose it from the worksheet options due to the columns being locked (due to the data connection)
Thanks! |

Posted - 05/22/2020 : 9:56:18 PM I am afraid this will involve two steps.
1. Worksheet Transpose, set Recalculate to Auto 2. after transpose, you still cannot add new columns as the result is a whole sheet linked to source. 3. select the columns in this transposed sheet, and choose Copy Columns to..
Now you have 3 sheets Sheet1. connected to external data Sheet2. transposed view of that connected data Sheet3. selected data that will allow adding new columns to use formula to calculate.
When you bring in new data, then Recalculate will trigger so your result will update on sheet3, as long as you have set all the Recalculate to Auto.
