Hello everyone,

I would like to make a split violin plot but this function does not seem to be available for categorical data. is there any other solution (without having to transform my file) ?

Thank you

Nicolas

Thank you James.

I've now the same data configuration (with stack function)

Sorry, I've tried but I can't get what you've got.

I had to select Categorical/ Grouped Violin-indexed
Data columns : C
Group columns : A or A and B ?

Horizontal panel/enable panel/by column(s)

I'm sorry I'm new on origin...

I can rearrange the data like this and start from the violin with box template, then set panels to read Col(A) to split the Time.

Hello James,

Thank you for your help.

Time C1 C2
T14	0,261000675	0,738999325
T8	0,231906546	0,768093454
T13	0,163293159	0,836706841
T13	0,195398051	0,804601949
T12	0,260871918	0,739128082
T14	0,268942812	0,731057188
T8	0,246488135	0,753511865

T14	0,674182335	0,325817665
T14	0,285243249	0,714756751

My worksheet looks like this. I would like to split the C1 and C2 distribution according to time. But if I fully understand I must have a structure like this ?

T0 T4 T6 label

.. .. .. C1
.. .. .. C1
.. .. .. C2

Thank you

Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

To make a split violin plot, you need to select multiple columns with the last column with 2 categories only. Please attach your worksheet. Thank you.

James
