Greetings!
I want to format selected text pieces as either Markdown or HTML. To do this I switch Syntax to either Markdown or HTML, but still cannot use Bold, Underline, Italic:

Is this a bug?

Hi AKazak,
Sorry for the late reply!
It turned out to be a bug of 2020b and has been fixed in 2021 beta.
To workaround it, would you mind to open registry, go to key
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION
Do you see a DWORD value named with Origin64.exe? I suppose not.
new a DWORD (32-bit) Value, set its name as Origin64.exe, and set its value as 2af9 (hex, decimal is 11001).
Then restart Origin, Markdown should work now.
PS: In that problematic PC, do you have Origin 2021 Beta build installed?

Dear Max,
The fix worked for me! I do not have Origin 2021 Beta build installed on the target PC.
Thank you for sharing this.

Yes, this works perfectly for both HTML and Markdown! Thank you.
What was the issue? Is there a way to move the magic line to the settings to avoid putting it at the top of each Notes page?

Well, Windows 7 might be the problem. See if you can update to Windows 10?

Hm, let me first try to install this version to another machine running Windows 7.

Hi,
What’s the Syntax mode when you switch to Render Mode? If Syntax is set to Markdown, please set it to HTML (first select “Text” and then you can select “HTML”). Try Render Mode again. See if it works.

Please see what I have:
