How do I tell Peak Analyzer to search not only for peaks (maxima), but also for troughs (valleys)?

If you can get the baseline in the middle of your signal, you can search for both positive (maxima) and negative (valleys) peaks at the same time.
If you cannot, then you might have to do that separately. |

Dear Yuki,
I experimented with the FP settings and discovered that it depends on location of the baseline.
The tool itself seems to look for peaks only. However, if you place the baseline at maximum (above the plot) and set Direction to Negative it will also find troughs (valleys).
My question was about finding both peaks and valleys (local extrema) at a single step.
Is this possible?

Hi AK,
When you use Peak Analyzer, you can go to Find Peaks page and select Positive in Peak Finding Settings: Direction.
