Origin Ver. 2018 but also a trial of 2020
Operating System: Windows 10

Hi to everyone! Here my question:
I have 4 distinct plots. I want to merge them in a single space but with a precise arrangement as schematically shown in the figure.

I tried to merge first graphs 1 and 2 into "a", then 3 and 4 into "b" and at the very end merge "a" and "b" but it requires too much time since I should repeat this procedure many times for other graphs.

Any solution? Thanks in advance!

Michele

Hi Michele,

There is no way to merge graphs in batch unless you would like to try LabTalk script to run merge_graph X-function.
https://www.originlab.com/doc/X-Function/ref/merge_graph

If you only want to apply layer structure of one graph to others, you can do the following:
1. Right click on the white space in the graph, and select Copy Format -> All. The page level graph format is copied.
2. Go to menu Edit->Paste Format(Advanced).
3. Set Apply Scope to specified graphs. Then apply.

Thank you for your reply. In the end, I left the idea to merge plots in that way, so I opted for an easier layout. Nevertheless, your suggestion come useful for other operations!

Have you though about using a graph template? If your data is well organized and the data for each multipanel graph follows the same organization, you may be able to use a cloneable graph template.

Watchg this video about cloneable templates:

Thank you too! I used your guide to merge simply 1x2 graphs. As I said before, in the end I abandoned the original idea.
