Hello guys, i made a simple plot with three data points. How do i construct a legend with another column? E.g., the data points X are in Col B and the y-points in Col C, but the text for the legend is in Col A and the legend should look like this: Col A Row 1 labels (X1,Y1), Col A Row 2 labels (X2,Y2) etc? Thanks!

Hello James,
thank you for your answer. This is the type of legend I was looking for! For other users who may have the same problem: Befor the setting can be changed in the legend menu, the data point has to be indexed (see https://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/PlotColor-DatasetControl#Indexing)

You can right click on the legend and select Legend-> Point by Point... Set Label From to Custom, then in the menu select Col(A). See if it works.

James
