Hi!

I am wondering if it is possible to perform a weighted linear fit of data points having asymmetric error bars on the y-axis.

Thank you for your help!

Best regards
Marta

Hi,

We can discuss this with our R&D folks. Do you mind sending an email to tech@originlab.com mentioning this post? It will help us contact you more effectively when they have an answer.

Thanks,

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

Is there any workaround/coding that could be used to perform the fit, since plots with asymmetric error bars are possible, as far as I can see?

Best regards,
Marta

Unfortunately our Linear Fit tool only supports one column for Y Error. Hence it would only be symmetric.

Thanks,
