Origin Version: 8.0 SR0
Operating System: WinXP

I know that I can choose the range for fitting. The plot of the fit should however be in absolutetly the same range, lets say from x=100 to 400
However I only found a way to set a range in arbitrary steps (1-60) which do not match the data (25 points) and do not match the starting point I would like to have.

Solution ?

Hi Matthias,

Origin version 8.0 SR0 does not release yet, so I guess you are using v7.0 or v7.5 instead.

Moreover, do you meet such situation when using NLSF? If so, in the NLSF dialog, select Scripts menu -- After Fit... and then check the "Same X as Fitting Data" radio box.

Otherwise, if you running linear fit, select Tools menu -- Linear Fit to open linear fit dialog. Then select settings tab, type the exact points number of your desired range in the "Points" textbox and set "Range Margin" as 0.

I hope it will be helpful to you.
