Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 2016
Operating System: Windows 10

I'm having trouble making contour labels on my contour plot render in scientific notation. For example, the labels I see are showing up as "9x10^4", where the caret symbol is part of the label. Is it possible to make the label without the caret and instead make the power of ten as a superscript?

Below is a zip file with a sample figure and the contour label settings I used:

The feature you request was implemented in more recent versions of Origin.

In fact, we just released Origin 2021. Maybe you can download the demo and give it a try.

Thanks,
