Hi,

I am trying to make my own symbols for plots. For example, filled cross symbols that are not in the default list.

We can insert any symbols with any shapes in the "User defined symbols". But the result is not good.
(1). symbols are only adjustable colors for the interior (not for the edge).
(2). symbols are not scaled with plots like default ones.

Is there any way to create symbols like this?

Thank you!
Nghiem

Hi,

The feature has improved in Origin 2022.
You can either clip image to clipboard and use it as symbol in scatter plot or add image files to our user-defined symbol list including svg file and use it in scatter plot.

The red border, bill filled cross can be used in scatter plot.

Hi,

I am afraid that Origin does not well support such symbol yet.

We have report this as ORG-21934 in our bug-tracking database. Hope this will be improved in the future.
