Greetings!

I prepare a column plot graph and want to set Major Ticks to By Increment with a known Value. However, changing the Value in the text box doesn't have an effect?

Do you reproduce this?

Hi AKazak,

There is a time gap between two continuous hints shown up, the default value is 100 seconds.

You can try to set the system variable below to shorten the time gap:

Thanks,

Hi AKazak,

When you first met this problem, there would be a hint(appears at the lower left corner of workspace) to inform you that there is a restriction for the max number of major ticks.

You can follow the hint to increase the limitation in the Axis tab of Preferences: Options dialog.

See the details here, https://www.originlab.com/doc/Origin-Help/Options-Dialog-Axis-Tab?f=dl#Max._Number_of_Ticks_Group

I Reactivated All Hints and Reminder Messages, but still don't have the hint message box described by you.
