Hi,

I created a Grouped Columns plot with indexed data.
See here:

Since the x-axis labels are quite long, I wanted to rotate them only by 45° and not 90° to not stretch my graph too much vertically.
Since the "table" option is checked for these grouped column plots, my long labels are cut off left and right where the (hidden) table borders would be.
I can deactivate "table", then my 45° rotated labels are not cut off but then, each bar has its own tick and label instead of each group.

What would be the best way to achieve my goal?

Hello,

We have a system variable to allow tick labels to show beyond borders.
https://www.originlab.com/doc/Quick-Help/Label-Chopped-by-Axis-Table

Please check if it works.
Choose Preferences: System Variables dialog.
Enter ATLC as variable and set value to 0.
Then refresh the graph.

Thanks, Snow

Hi,

thanks, I didn't know what the Anchor Tick option is doing.
However, since I plotted using "Grouped Box Charts - Indexed" The Anchor Tick option does not seem to be doing anything, no matter what I type in there. For bar charts where you just have avg and st deviation already pre calculated and ready to plot (like in the example you posted), the anchor tick also works for me.

My solution was as followed (see numbers in my uploaded picture)
4. Create new User parameter (Beschriftung = Label in german). Only insert content for the 1h Timepoints, were the label should appear in the end. Leave other cells empty.
2. + 3. Set Scale and Tick labels to follow this new User parameter "Beschriftung".
1. I end up with the desired plot. Although this method works, it feels very improvised.

Hi,

Can you turn off table tick labels and manually set the major tick position as shown below?
