How does Tab control @ the Text Object Properties | Text tab work?
How do insert more white space in the middle between symbol line and legend entry text?

Now I see that Tab control adjust the width of tab characters.

Hi,

If you mean to want to inset tab characters between symbol and text entries, use Ctrl+Tab, not just Tab.
